Competency 4.1
Produce recorded content
Boundary this domain describes capacities of judgement and direction, never software. No tool is named in its descriptors: tools change every six months, the capacities that govern them remain.
Definition
Producing written, visual, audio and video content by applying the quality fundamentals of each medium: editorial structure, visual hierarchy, sound capture, rhythm and editing, finishing. This competency includes running regular editorial formats (newsletter, blog, series), where consistency counts as much as unit quality.
Components
- Digital writing: structure, readability, headlines, adaptation to the reading medium
- Visual fundamentals: hierarchy, colour, typography; coherence of a graphic identity
- Video: framing, lighting, editing, rhythm, subtitling
- Audio: sound capture, basic mixing, listening comfort
- Perceived quality: finishing, details, the threshold for publishing
- Regular editorial formats: newsletter, blog, series — keeping an appointment with an audience
