Competency 4.4

Systematise production and publishing

Boundary this domain describes capacities of judgement and direction, never software. No tool is named in its descriptors: tools change every six months, the capacities that govern them remain.

Definition

Organising reproducible production flows: turning one piece of source material into multiple formats, publishing natively per platform, holding a rhythm, embedding accessibility and sobriety, verifying usage rights, and automating under human supervision. This is the competency that allows you to produce more without degrading quality — or exhausting yourself.

Components

  • The production chain: from raw idea to published content, stages and checkpoints
  • One-to-many adaptation: from one piece of source material to multiple coherent formats
  • Native publishing: formats, codes and conventions specific to each platform
  • Editorial calendar: regularity, anticipation, managing a content stock
  • Accessibility (alt text, subtitles, contrast) and eco-design embedded in the chain
  • Usage rights: verifying the licences of the elements used (music, images, excerpts)
  • Automation: delegating repetitive tasks while keeping human quality control

The four levels

  1. N1 Discovery Lower secondary · complete beginner

Is able to publish a piece of content correctly on a platform: suitable format, description, rights respected, basic accessibility.

    Evidence of assessment

Make a compliant publication, with documented verification of the rights of the elements used and with subtitles or alt text.

  2. N2 Application Upper secondary · advanced beginner

Is able to adapt a piece of content into several native formats and to hold a publishing rhythm over several weeks.

    Evidence of assessment

Adapt one piece of content into three native formats and hold an editorial calendar for four weeks.

  3. N3 Adaptation Tertiary · junior professional

Is able to build a reproducible production chain, partly automated, accessible and documented.

    Evidence of assessment

Present a workflow turning a raw idea into published content with under twenty minutes of human intervention, accessibility verified.

  4. N4 Orchestration Experienced professional

Is able to design a fully systematised one-to-many content architecture, with quality supervision.

    Evidence of assessment

From a single long-form piece, generate eight distinct coherent formats through a documented, reusable system.
