CreaComp Digital Creative Literacy Framework

Competency 6.1

Frame and pitch a creative project

Boundary this domain is deliberately non-monetary. Everything touching revenue, pricing, contracts and assets belongs to the Monetise domain. A project can belong fully to Venture without ever generating a single euro.

Definition

Moving from a wish to a formulated project — objective, audience, minimum first version, means — and knowing how to present it in order to bring people on board: the pitch as a tool of clarification as much as of persuasion. A project that cannot be said in one minute is not yet a project.

Components

  • Formulation: turning a wish or a problem into a statable project (what, for whom, why)
  • Objectives and success criteria: how will we see that it worked
  • Defining a minimum first version: the smallest thing that proves the idea
  • Pitch structure: from the spoken minute to the written dossier
  • Adapting to the interlocutor: peer, teacher, partner, funder
  • Securing support: turning interest into concrete commitment
